He has productions to his credit with <\/span><b>Nicholas Count<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>LNDFK<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and<\/span><b>Pellegrino<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, among the others. He collaborated with  <\/span><b>Nu Genea<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,  <\/span><b>Kurtis Rosenwinkel<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,  <\/span><b>Jason Lindner<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,  <\/span><b>Asa Chang<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,  <\/span><b>Pink Siifu<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,  <\/span><b>Chester Watson<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,  <\/span><b>Paolo Fresu<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,  <\/span><b>System Olympia<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,  <\/span><b>Ghemon<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,  <\/span><b>Fitness Forever<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,  <\/span><b>Giuseppe Vitale<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,  <\/span><b>Stefano Costanzo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,  <\/span><b>Pasquale Mirra<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,  <\/span><b>Voodoo Kid<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,  <\/span><b>Missey<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> And many others. Bassolino is his new project. It was released on<\/span><b>March 1st<\/b><b><i>Citt\u00e0 Futura<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the first album by <\/span><b>Bassolino<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a new artistic project by the Neapolitan pianist, composer and producer, active in the national and international nu-jazz (and not only) scene, but above all<\/span><b> leading exponent of the new and lively Neapolitan music scene.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The record came out digitally and as a 12&#8243; LP on two seminal labels, Berlin-based <\/span><b>Jakarta Records<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the Neapolitan <\/span><b>Periodica <\/b><strong>Record<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>s<\/strong>, label of &#8220;neapolitan electronics and funk music.&#8221; The soundtrack to an ideal film populated by <\/span><b>gangsters, fortune tellers and &#8220;jacket&#8221; singers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. animated by the voices of squares teeming with life and by a sound screened toward the stars but firmly anchored in a Sunburned land. <\/span><b>A groove-laden record from the sound<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8220;<\/span><b><i>shady, pulpy, grotesque and romantic<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8221; which is rooted in the past to design a new visionary &#8220;future city&#8221;. Produced together with <\/span><b>Paolo Petrella<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the album is enriched by a respectable group of singers and musicians &#8211; among them<\/span><b>Linda Feki<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (LNDFK) and <\/span><b>Andrea De Fazio<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Parbleu, Nu Genea) &#8211; who dialogue with each other while maintaining their respective identities. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Underlying this is a strong collective idea: each musician has his own expressive and timbral space, trying to break certain genre stereotypes and trying to <\/span><\/i><b><i>defuse the risk of &#8216;revival&#8217;<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The challenge is all there.&#8221;<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Among <\/span><b>mantric percussion and Arabic melodies, metropolitan blues and cinematic atmospheres, sonic hallucinations, neo-melodic homages<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>orchestral discofunk<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the <\/span><b>six tracks take turns<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Napoli Visionaria<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,  <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2018E Parole<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,  <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oro di Miele<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,  <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Citt\u00e0 Futura<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,  <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Malavita<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fuga Finale<\/span><\/i> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; of a record <\/span><b>\u201c<\/b><b><i>enigmatically pop, prog- and jazzfunk-influenced<\/i><\/b><b>\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, as Bassolino himself defines it, a musician influenced by very different artists from <\/span><b>Hermeto Pascoal <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to <\/span><b>Goblin<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, from <\/span><b>Tullio De Piscopo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to <\/span><b>Franco Califano<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, passing by <\/span><b>Lucio Battisti<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Airto Moreira. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First of all, though,<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Citt\u00e0 Futura<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a work that proudly claims the affirmation of <\/span><b>a &#8220;southern&#8221; sound<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, in its sociological meaning, instead of the inflated &#8220;Mediterranean&#8221; style. Through <\/span><b>an inextricable tangle of memory and invention, history and imaginary, life and storyboard<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the album <\/span><b>passionately re-reads and re-actualizes the pop culture of the 1970s<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to try to interpret the present, with the political conviction that is in the most popular expression forms that one finds the most authentic photography of a society. &#8220;<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I am often inspired by philosophy and sociology. In fact, music for me has an explanatory value of a certain historical and social space, it is a representation of society<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8221; says the artist from Campania, admirer of <\/span><b>Gilles Deleuze<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Alberto Sordi,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,  <\/span><b>Mario Bava<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Elio Petri,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,  <\/span><b>Monicelli<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Sciascia,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,  <\/span><b>Volont\u00e8<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Rodolfo Sonego<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, as well as <\/span><b>Antonioni<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the Neapolitan fortune teller <\/span><b>Gennaro D\u2019Auria.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. In short, a &#8220;Gramscian&#8221; record.
