The SEI Festival<\/strong>, conceived, organized and promoted by Cooperativa CoolClub<\/strong>, under the artistic direction of Cesare Liaci<\/strong>, supported by the Apulia Region<\/strong> under the Public Notice for the Performing Arts and Cultural Activities FSC 2014-2020 – Pact for Apulia and, for the first time, by Fus – Fondo Unico dello Spettacolo <\/strong>of Mibac<\/strong>, under the patronage of the Municipalities of Lecce<\/strong> and Corigliano d’Otranto<\/strong> and the Distretto Produttivo Puglia Creativa<\/strong>, for the second year was the winner of the “Sillumina<\/strong>” call for entries by Mibac<\/strong> and Siae<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

WAITING FOR SEI<\/strong>
\nWaiting for the summer concerts, Manifatture Knos in Lecce hosted a review with a Tribute to Syd Barrett<\/strong> (February 28th),the Austrians Ant Antic<\/strong> (March 21st), the presentation of the music compilationKM97<\/strong>(April 18th) and Irish-born singer-songwriter Candice Gordon<\/strong> (May 23rd). SEI also hosted PianoForme<\/strong> with Toni Tarantino and Clio Evans (February 9th at Teatro Paisiello in Lecce), the“Serial Things”<\/strong> party (February 10th at Officine Cantelmo in Lecce), the show with Dente and Guido Catalano<\/strong> (March 9th at Officine Cantelmo in Lecce), ClaxonFest Vol. 3<\/strong> with Marco Ancona, Elektrojezus, Blumosso, Massimo Donno, Lamansarda, Edro, Kill Emil, A Copy for Collapse (April 24th at Castello di Corigliano d’Otranto), Quanto SEI Rainbow?<\/strong> with Sem&St\u00e8nn (April 27th at Istanbul Caf\u00e9 in Squinzano), Quanto SEI Young?<\/strong> with Flows and MaYha (April 30th at Officine Cantelmo in Lecce).<\/p>\n

SEI FESTIVAL IN SAN CATALDO OF LECCE<\/strong>
\nBud Spencer Blues Explosion<\/strong>, Coma_Cose<\/strong>, Galeffi<\/strong>, Eugene In Via di Gioia<\/strong>, Andrea Poggio<\/strong>, Siberia<\/strong>, La R\u00e9p\u00e9tition – Orchestra senza confini<\/strong>, Gigante<\/strong>, Muffx<\/strong>, Carmine Tundo,<\/strong> Makai<\/strong>, Minimanimalist<\/strong>, Le Scrimmie sulla Luna<\/strong>, Blumosso<\/strong>, Serena<\/strong> Spedicato<\/strong> and Salvatore Casaluce<\/strong> were the musical guests of the 12th of the SEI Festival<\/strong>. From Thursday, July 26th to Sunday, July 29th<\/strong> in San Cataldo of Lecce, in addition to four evenings of music with performances by some of the most interesting realities of the young Italian rock, singer-songwriter and electronic scene, it welcomed book presentations (Carlo D’Amicis<\/strong>, Leonardo Palmisano<\/strong>, Lamantice<\/strong>, Matteo Casilli<\/strong>, Adelmo Monachese<\/strong>, Dino Mignogna<\/strong>, Roberto Guido<\/strong>), seminars and workshops (Gianluca Testani<\/strong>, Fabrizio Galassi<\/strong> and Leonello Bertolucci<\/strong>), exhibitions, installations and appointments for youngest (Kids Rock!<\/strong>, the photo exhibition “Apulia and Rock<\/strong>,” the illustrations by the Lamantice<\/strong> colletive and Andy Trema<\/strong>, author of the artist manifesto of Sei 2018, Artbit – Sensory Installation<\/strong> by Swapmuseum<\/strong> and Poiesis<\/strong>) and a series of activities dedicated to accessibility (Tactile Map of the hostel, Festival Program in Braille and High readability). The festival appendix also hosted Cosmo<\/strong> (August 9th) who exploded in the summer of 2016 thanks to the single “The Last Party”.<\/p>\n

SEI INTERNATIONAL<\/strong>
\nThe SEI Festival also hosted a section entirely dedicated to international guests with Suzanne Vega<\/strong> (July 14th in Corigliano d’Otranto), Hollie Cook<\/strong> (August 4th in Corigliano d’Otranto), Bombino<\/strong> (August 18th in Lecce), Mad Professor<\/strong> guest of the Tropical Party<\/strong> (September 1st in Corigliano d’Otranto).<\/p>\n

SEIOFF<\/strong>
\nThe extra section of the festival hosted performances by Lorenzo Kruger<\/strong> (August 28th in Corigliano d’Otranto), Serena Spedicato<\/strong> with “Le Voci di Genova<\/strong>” (August 29th in Corigliano d’Otranto), La R\u00e9p\u00e9tition<\/strong> (August 31st in Corigliano d’Otranto) and Dario Muci<\/strong> (August 31st in Lecce), the duo Rachele Andrioli<\/strong> and Rocco Nigro<\/strong> (September 7th in Lecce), Filippo Bubbico<\/strong> (September 20th in Lecce), Kal\u00e0scima<\/strong> (October 12th in Lecce), and Massimo Donno<\/strong> (December 7th in Corigliano d’Otranto).<\/p>\n

The twelfth edition of the SEI Festival<\/strong> (which involved a rich partnership with Fermenti Lattici, Poiesis, Swap Museum, Sum, Km97, Manigold and with media partners SentireAscoltare, BlogFoolk and Radio Wau) was also made possible thanks to the collaboration of two sponsors who married and supported the project: the Vestas Hotel & Resort<\/strong> group with whom hospitality packages were designed for tourists who will follow the festival concerts and Birrificio B94<\/strong>, which created an exclusive production of SEI-branded craft beers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
